As early as 2005, SR Group AS introduced a variable diesel surcharge to compensate for the large fluctuations in fuel prices.<\/p>\n
Since 2013, we have adjusted the supplement monthly on the basis of Statistics Norway's cost index for lorry transport - the fuel element.<\/p>\n
In recent years, this has fluctuated somewhat sharply because fuel prices have changed significantly from month to month. Despite this, Statistics Norway is now switching to quarterly publication of this index, and we therefore choose to follow Statistics Norway and only adjust our diesel surcharge quarterly. The next publication of the index is mid-April, so we will then change our diesel surcharge from 1.5, with effect for May, June and July. Thereafter, the adjustment will take place quarterly, in August, November and February respectively.<\/p>\n
This solution will provide a more predictable surcharge for our customers and we hope that the fluctuations in fuel prices will decrease - so that the need for adjustments will not be as great as it has been in recent years.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
